Hammered 9ct gold ring with a platinum set emerald

Set in a delicate 9ct gold band, with a simple platinum bezel setting, it’s proof that a ring doesn’t need to be large to make an impact. Sometimes the most elegant designs are the simplest. The rich green of the emerald seems to glow against the warm gold, while the platinum setting quietly frames the stone without stealing attention from it. I often find myself drawn to more intricate designs, but every now and again a stone tells you exactly what it wants to become. This emerald wanted simplicity. A ring for marking a special occasion, celebrating a milestone, or simply because beautiful things deserve to be worn. This ring is currently a size K but can be made to order in any size. This piece is part of my 52 Ring Project, a personal challenge inspired by rediscovering a long-forgotten collection of gemstones. After moving to Dorset, I unpacked two boxes of stones that had remained untouched for several years — some of which I have owned for over fifteen years. After carefully sorting and organising them by type, size and colour, I decided to bring them back into use by creating one ring each week over the course of a year. Each ring in the collection is made using a different gemstone, giving every piece its own character and story.
