Lapuan Kankurit TALVEN TUOKSUT Square linen towel/napkin
Saara Obele’s TALVEN TUOKSUT pattern highlights the traditional scents and flavors of winter and Christmas, such as spruce branches and slices of orange. The pattern creates a wonderful atmosphere for table settings. We weave this tea towel in our own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland, using fully traceable raw materials: European long-staple linen and bio-organic cotton. Our unique finishing facility, located next to the weaving mill in Lapua, allows us to give these textiles a high-quality finish. This means that, with proper care, the textile will retain its shape in home washing and maintain its form wash after wash. The linen–cotton towel is long-lasting and only improves with use. Please note that the towel requires a few washes before its absorbency fully develops. This product has a hanging loop on the corner. This product can also be used as a napkin, a hand towel or a small cloth. The warp yarn used in the making of this product is 100 % linen and the weft yarn is certified organic cotton. Because we want our products to have long lifecycles, we pay special attention to the quality and production of our flax fibre: the Masters of Linen–certified warp yarn we use is made of 100 % traceable European long staple flax. The yarns have been spun and dyed in the EU area according to the REACH regulations. Wash the new textile separately before use at 60°C on a gentle cycle in plenty of water. Do not spin dry. 40°C is also an adequate wash temperature.Avoid softener and bleach. Reshape and dry. Do not tumble dry. Linen textiles will dry quickly, remember to iron when the fabric is still damp. The colour of natural linen becomes lighter with washing. Shrinkage approx. 5%. Reuse and recycle!
