ANIME MATSURI // Hand Embroidery for Beginners

Location: Anime Matsuri 2026 | GRB Room 135 B/E – Workshop Room Class Length: 1.5 hours ________________________________ In this hands-on class, you'll be introduced to the timeless craft of hand embroidery! We'll cover the essentials: from threading a needle to mastering a collection of foundational stitches including the straight stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, French knot and many more. By the end of class, you'll leave with your very own personalized embroidery stitch guide, stitched by your own hands and mounted in an embroidery hoop – a beautiful, functional keepsake you can reference for every project to come. ________________________________ In this workshop you'll learn: How to set up your hoop and prepare your fabric How to thread and knot embroidery floss A selection of essential hand embroidery stitches Tips for keeping your work neat and tidy Prerequisite Skills: None - Beginner Friendly ________________________________ About the Instructor: Twin Capricorn Cosplay is a Texas-based twin cosplay duo who's work is fueled by a love for 3D modeling and printing, photo editing, prop-making, and mixed-media techniques, allowing us to explore both the technical and artistic sides of cosplay. Twin Capri is a three-time award-winning cosplayer recognized for their exceptional hand embroidery work, bringing a wealth of hands-on expertise and artistic skill to their beginner-friendly hand embroidery instruction. ________________________________ The Nitty Gritty: To participate in this workshop, a liability waiver must be completed for all participants Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian Space is limited and all tickets are first come first serve Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class.
