Excit3D Max Motors
The Max Motor from Excit3D with high temp insulation and a 55mm long round shaft suitable for high speed fun. 10% off if you get 4 motors or more. Description from Excit3D About a year ago, one of the mods in our server came to us with a graph and a wild proposition: he had found the best NEMA 17 motors on the market. According to Stanciu's simulations, these motors had better top speed than LDO 2504s and better torque than LDO 2804s — and the comparison to high-tier options like Krakens and Classifieds was even more striking. We had to test the hypothesis. Stanciu installed them on his 2WD Merc, and pulled travel speeds of 1500@50k. Then Goat tracked down more samples from the manufacturer, and Shoey rigged them up on his Boombox extruder. The Max Motors outperformed anything he had used before. It was clear that these NEMA 17s were elite — a cut above the rest. But there was a problem: the motors were only available with short shafts, and that just wouldn't work for us (we support our shafts here at Excit3d). We reached out to Shenyang and commissioned the custom long-shaft motors you see here. We also added some extra goodies: Class H high-temp insulation, aviation-grade grease, and upgraded bearings. We dialed these motors up to the Max. If you want to get maximum performance from your printer, there's only one way to do it: get yourself some Max Motors. Specifications: - Rated current: 4A - Insulation class: H (180°C rated) - Shaft: 55mm, 5mm diameter, round - Cable: 1m with Microfit 3 connector TMC5160 stepper drivers recommended to fully take advantage of these motors. Currently in production — 6–8 week lead time. Ships from Sweden to most of EU.
