The Anglo-Boer War Queen’s South Africa Medal to Lance Corporal George Kemp, Royal Sussex Regiment. Medal – Queen’s South Africa Medal with Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1902 clasps named to 4019 L. Corpl. G. Kemp. Rl. Sussex. Regt. George Horace Kemp was born in Heathfield, near Hailsham, Sussex and he was a 19 year old labourer when he attested into the Royal Sussex Regiment in 1892. He served for 12 years during which time he spent 8 yeas in India bfore spending 214 days in the Cape. His papers confirm he was also awarded the India Medal 1895 with Punjab Frontier and Tirah clasps.
