For sale is a proper little character – a 1971 Honda ST50 Dax that spent its working life on a farm in the Welsh hills. This isn’t a concours show bike that’s been stripped and polished to within an inch of its life. We’ve deliberately left all the original patina, scratches, and honest aging marks exactly as they were. It still looks and feels like the genuine farm hack it always was… but now it’s mechanically rock-solid and a lot more fun. The engine has had a full professional rebuild and benefits from a sympathetic performance/reliability upgrade package that keeps the classic 6V character while making it properly usable: Kitaco 75cc Light Bore-Up Kit Kitaco 6V High Capacity Oil Pump Kitaco High Lift Fast Road Camshaft Takegawa Heavy Duty Semi-Automatic Clutch Kit (much stronger than standard) Brand new 3.50 x 10 Bridgestone Trail Wing-3 tyres (front & rear) Reproduction carburettor correct for ST70 6V spec Genuine Honda ignition switch with two keys Plus a long list of other new parts fitted during the recommissioning (seals, bearings, cables, electrics, etc.). Everything was done with the goal of keeping the bike reliable and daily-usable without losing any of its soul. This Dax starts easily, ticks over nicely, pulls strongly for a little 75cc machine, and the upgraded clutch and oiling mean it’s happy to be ridden properly rather than just pottered around. It’s a proper “get on and go” classic that still looks like it’s just come off the farm. Perfect for someone who wants an honest, original-looking Dax that won’t let them down. Ideal for green lanes, shows, or just pure retro fun. This is a private sale, the bike cannot be shipped domestically or internationally, collection only. Click here to send a message if interested.
