J.W. Kirwan Batwing Chaps

Vintage J. W. Kirwan Spotted Full Grain Leather spotted Batwing Chaps. The measurements are 36" to 42" waist, 34" down the outside of the leg, 22" down the inside of the leg, and 24" around the thigh. These chaps feature hook and D closures and are decorated with a basket weave tooling, outside pockets, silver conchos, highly decorated with brass studs. The makers mark is still visible and prominent. This set of chaps is a fine example of the vintage J.W. Kirwan craftsmanship. J.W. Kirwan addlery was an acclaimed manufacturer operating out of Douglas, WY during the early - mid 20th Century. They are highly regarded among collectors of antique western gear and periodially appears at western heritage and saddle shop auctions.
