The Hill Country Fighter

"The Hill Country Fighter" This large but, lightweight Fighter/Field knife is edge-quenched with clay and is forged from W2 high carbon steel. This blade has etched/hand rubbed bevels to show the Hamon or quench lines in the blade and also has forge marked/acid soaked flats for contrast and a beveled spine and corners for comfort in use. There is also a thumb rise for control. This blade has a 6 1/8" cutting edge and is 11 1/4" overall, weighing in at 9.5oz. The steel tang is etched as well to bring out all of the steel patterning/Hamon. The handle scales are stabilized, A-grade Spalted Maple wood done in a "palm swell" style with grey G-10 tang liners and are secured with a pair of mild steel J-bolts (handle bolts) with a mosaic center accent pin. This knife comes with a fully tooled/carved and two-toned leather pouch sheath with a tooled belt loop by Gerald Harper, Saddle Mountain Leather.
