The great majority of the household name eyewear brands that have invested billions to invade your skull are not as old as these sunglasses. At the core of those brands illusion is the establishment of 'heritage'. They're determined to make you believe they curated the evolution of style from it's dawn. They haven't; unlike these humble sunglasses. These are a genuine patriarch whose genes have seeped into the DNA of eyewear design history and they have formatted the template for one of the three most established designs in eyewear history, the aviator. And when we say aviator, that means someone who flies an airplane and in this case was wearing these while they were doing so. And that is how authenticity is defined in an age where branding would have us all believe 'alternative facts' to sell inferior products. From our viewpoint it's a genuine pleasure to offer something that incorporates all the elements of vintage in one item; standalone stylishness, social history, quality brand production and a direct use case. We feel some obligation to point out, that this design is uniquely British ( made by the venerable Algha company which was created in the 1930s by a German immigrant, the mind can only boggle at how he negotiated this contract with the British War Department ) as opposed to the American teardrop aviator which has come to dominate this form. This model was also issued for Tank crews as well. They have the Broad Arrow stamp and Algha on the bridge. Good overall condition. There are surface marks on the lenses but no fuzzy scuffs or anything individually significant.
