A reverse osmosis membrane is also used for processing desalted and/or Ultra Pure Water (UPW) for various industrial and other uses, such as making up water from power plants, manufacturing of electronic chips, food industry, pharmaceutical, medical, and others. An Vi Group is a proud supplier of high quality membranes from top-rated reverse osmosis membrane manufacturing brands such as Dupont/Dow Filmtec, Nitto Denko Hydranautics, Veolia (Suez), Veolia (Suez), LG Chem H2O, Aquaporin… These membranes come in sizes ranging from 4″, and 8″ for brackish water and seawater applications. An Vi Group introduces to customers RO membrane Veolia (Suez) AK-90 LE Series AK LE designed and manufactured by Veolia (Suez). This type of Reverse osmosis plant managers and operators dealing with controlled-pre-treatment waters and seeking advanced membrane treatment with good water purity. 1. General Information about Veolia (Suez) AK-90 LE Series AK LE RO membrane: The A-Series proprietary thin-film reverse osmosis elements deliver high flux and effectively reject sodium chloride. Engineers select AK LE brackish water elements for their high rejection rates, strong flow capacity, and ultra-low operating pressure. Designers create AK LE elements with a fiberglass outer wrap to serve beverage, light commercial, residential, and industrial applications. Veolia (Suez) developed the AK-90 LE membrane as part of the Series AK LE to optimize industrial water treatment and desalination. This low-energy RO membrane achieves high salt rejection at reduced pressures, lowering energy consumption and operational costs. It maximizes efficiency and ensures reliable performance while producing excellent water quality with minimal environmental impact, establishing itself as a cost-effective and sustainable solution. 2. General Information about operating for Veolia (Suez) RO elements: Please consult the latest Veolia (Suez) technical bulletin, design guidelines, computer design program, or call an application specialist for the recommended design range. Not strictly following the operating limits stated in this bulletin will void and nullify the Limited Warranty. All RO elements are wet tested treated with a 1 percent by weight sodium bisulfite storage solution. Afterward, the RO elements are vacuum packed in oxygen barrier bags or treated with a tested feed water solution, and then vacuum sealed in oxygen barrier bags with deoxidant inside. Veolia (Suez) recommends flushing Veolia (Suez) RO elements for 30 to 60 minutes once every two days with sufficient quality flushing water, such as pre-treated feed water, to prevent biological growth during system shutdown. Please refer to the Veolia (Suez) RO Handling Manual for suggested flushing water quality. The presence of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents under certain conditions, such as heavy metals that act as oxidation catalysts in the feed water, will cause unexpected oxidation of the membrane. Veolia (Suez) strongly recommends removing these oxidizing agents contained in feed water before operating the RO system. Permeate from the first hour of operation shall be discarded. The customer is fully responsible for the effects of chemicals that are incompatible with the elements. Maximum operating pressure will vary depending on feed temperature.
