Art Deco, Sterling Silver, Five Piece Tea and Coffee Service by Tiffany & Co.

This delightful sterling silver tea and coffee service was made by American firm Tiffany & Company. The five piece set comprises a teapot, coffeepot, sugar pot, creamer and waste bowl and are each elaborately engraved with the monogram 'ACG'. The particular pattern this set is in is the 'Hampton' design which began in 1934, however the 'M' hallmark to each piece indicates manufacture to between 1907 and 1947. We believe the set would have been manufactured in the second half of the 1930s, prior to World War II. The set dates to the period when Tiffany were considered one of the most luxurious manufacturers in the world, and their silverware was sought after all around the globe. We have just had the set cleaned and polished by our silversmith and it presents in very good condition for something nearing 100 years of age, with no major areas of note. A beautiful service that is just waiting for its new custodian.
