Deep Sea Dragon King Watatsumi Tungsten Carbide Ring
Watatsumi (海神, 綿津見), also pronounced Wadatsumi is believed to be another name for the Kami Ryūjin. Watatsumi, or Ryūjin, is the ruler of seas and oceans, and a dragon capable of changing into human form. He lives in the undersea Ryūgū-jō (龍宮城, lit. 'dragon palace castle'), where he kept the magical tide jewels. Ryūjin shinkō (竜神信仰, "dragon god faith") is a form of Shinto religious belief that worships dragons as water kami. It is connected with agricultural rituals, rain prayers, and the success of fishermen. The god has shrines across Japan and especially in rural areas where fishing and rains for agriculture are important for local communities. The inner part of the ring is engraved with the Heart Sūtra, a popular sutra in Buddhism which states, "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form." This ring is made of Tungsten Carbide, a highly resistant alloy made of equal parts of Tungsten and Carbon. The alloy, twice as hard as steel, can only be polished and finished with abrasives of superior hardness such as cubic boron nitride and diamond powder, making it one of the most resistant rings you will ever have. The exterior of the ring is coated in resin for protection. Width: 6mm. Check our ring size guide here. Check our shipping policy here.
