Shinkan Plate
Shinkan Sara Plate Intricate, abstract patterns emerge in Yumiko Katase’s elegant silver glazes. Adorning the masterly crafted porcelain pieces, the silver glaze invites you to find beauty in its organic patterns. The black porcelain has a velvety matte texture, and strikingly contrasts the subtle shine of the silver, establishing a stunning surface for plating meals. Available in small and medium, these plates are the perfect size for serving smaller dishes, salads, or deserts. Each of Yumiko Katase’s porcelain pieces are a work of art and no two are alike. Because of their handmade nature, variations in the glazing and patterns can be expected. The silver glaze may oxidize over time and develop an iridescent sheen, which brings an unique aspect of change to these pieces.
