A Watch Design Inspired By Science A voltmeter measures the voltage between two points in a circuit. Taking inspiration from this important scientific instrument, the Voltmeter watch uses a custom-made movement with Japanese Miyota gearboxes to display the time and date in a creative and unique way. Hours 1–12 are shown on the orange AC volts scale. Minutes in groups of 10 are shown on the red capacitance scale. Single minutes 1–9 are shown on the DC volts dial on the left. The mode (date, AM, PM) is shown on the resistance dial on the right. The date can be read in a similar way to the time. Reading the time and date becomes second nature once you know the system.
