A small, quietly thoughtful book created over the course of a year from 2025, with minds turned toward Noto in Ishikawa Prefecture—an area struck by a major earthquake on New Year’s Day, 2024. It is published by three individuals: Lionel Beccat, a French chef; Tomoko Chris, a radio personality; and Kanako Teshigawara, a food planner, translator, and interpreter. Bringing together words, drawings, and photographs by a group of contributors, the book reflects on the connections between land and people, the importance of food, and the quiet presence of everyday life. It also features landscape photography of Noto by Lionel Beccat. For those who know Noto, it may offer new perspectives; for others, it may become a gentle invitation to discover it. All Japanese texts are accompanied by full English translations. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Noto region.
