Garden hoops turn any row or raised bed into a protected growing space in minutes. Install them before sowing or right after transplanting, and your crops are shielded before anything has a chance to settle on them. A simple, reusable system that earns its place in the garden every season. What are garden hoops used for? Garden hoops are a quick way to protect your crops without building a permanent structure. Once installed over a row or raised bed, they hold any protective fabric taut off the foliage, which is what makes them work: the fabric does its job without smothering your plants. Depending on what you cover them with, the same set of hoops can serve very different purposes across the season: Insect netting to keep pests off brassicas, carrots, and other vulnerable crops Bird netting to protect fruit, seedlings, and leafy greens Fleece or frost cloth to extend the growing season into autumn and early spring Shade cloth to take the edge off summer heat for cool-weather crops How to install Each hoop is assembled from 5 pole sections and 4 connectors. Push the sections together, connect them into an arch using the connectors, then press both ends firmly into the soil to a depth of 8–12 inches (20–30 cm). That depth is what keeps them stable in wind. Space your hoops every 2 to 4 feet (60 to 120 cm) along the row. As a rough guide, a 25-pack covers up to 10 metres of bed, and a 50-pack covers up to 20 metres. Once the hoops are in place, lay your chosen fabric over the top and secure it with the included clips. No tools needed. Reusing your hoops When the season is over, the hoops disassemble as easily as they go together. Clean them off, pack them away, and they're ready for next year.
