Civil War Bullet - Tall CS Vicksburg Rifle ~ TL8284 $20

For your consideration one Thomas RoundBall to RimFire 4 bullet 287 the taller version of what we once called a Greene carbine bullet. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice, slick/shiny, white color. Around the nose a faint nose ring can be seen..photo 4. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.51 x 1.17 inches...taller than the 287 listed in Thomas. Dug from the North Georgia area. See all 5 photos. A Vicksburg rifle is a Kentucky Long rifle or picket type rifle bored & rifled to a 0.54. caliber. Vicksburg & Holly Springs, Miss are where these re-toolings happened.
