Appreciated for its laid back aesthetic and year-round wearability, this relaxed-oversized, boxy fit sweater features an exaggerated dropped shoulder and a fluted wide sleeve. Draping casually across the body, this sweater is crafted from a soft, comfortable alpaca-wool blend yarn. Alpaca creates a fluffy finish for that cosy, comfortable feel. The nylon allows for durability that will keep your knitwear lasting longer. The merino wool in this blend is sourced from verified non-mulesed sheep in South Africa, and our alpaca wool is sourced from farms in Peru. Wool and alpaca fibres are natural, renewable and biodegradable. 40% Recycled Nylon 30% Alpaca 30% Merino Wool This knitted blend has temperature regulating qualities, with wool retaining warmth when needed, while remaining cool and breathable on the body. Alpaca creates a fluffy finish for that cosy, comfortable feel. The recycled nylon allows for durability that will keep your knitwear lasting longer. Alpaca is generally farmed using lower impact traditional methods. Their soft hooves reduce the amount of soil erosion caused from alpaca farming, allowing for minimal damage to the land used for farming. The merino wool in this blend is sourced from South African, non-mulesed sheep, and our alpaca wool is sourced from farms in Peru. Recycled nylon is a lower impact material compared to its virgin counterpart, and is made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste like plastic bottles. We choose to use recycled rather than new as part of our commitment to use preferred fibres according to our ELK Preferred Materials Guide. MAKER This style was made by Singtex Knitting Factory located in Dongguan, China. They have been manufacturing knitwear for us for many years, and are helping us to source fibres that align with our ELK Preferred Material Guide, such as recycled yarns and responsibly farmed wool. The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular SMETA social compliance audits.
