The PH01 is built for something less precise and more atmospheric: the kind of warmth that looks like it arrived on its own. At 50mm, the bristle bed is substantially longer than a standard cheek brush, and that length changes everything about how the brush moves. Loaded with bronzer, it sweeps color across the temples, cheeks, and jawline in a single motion that diffuses at the edges rather than landing with a clear border. The result isn't a product application — it's a shift in light. The bristles are 白尖峰 (hakusenpo) — white tip goat hair, the same premium grade used in the CHERRY portable cheek brush, but in a head more than twice as deep. The natural taper of each strand, preserved without cutting in the Kumano tradition, gives this brush its particular looseness: it yields to the face rather than pressing into it, carrying just enough pigment to build warmth gradually across multiple passes. Construction marks the Pro Handy line as a different category of object. Where the BLACK collection uses aluminum ferrules and plastic handles, the PH01 is fitted with a brass ferrule and a wooden handle — heavier, warmer in the hand, and built to last in a way that changes how the brush feels to use. At 141mm, it sits at a full working length without tipping into studio-brush territory, comfortable for both vanity and travel. Engravable in a choice of script and ink color — 12 color options including gold, silver, coral, and black — making it among the most personally configurable pieces in the TAUHAUS range.
