High Precision Stainless Steel Syringes High-quality lab syringes available to purchase in different sizes Improve the accuracy of solution delivery using automated syringe pumps with Ossila high precision stainless steel syringes. Disposable plastic syringes can vary in diameter by as much as 5% across the whole stroke length of the syringe, which can result in large variations in the amount of fluid delivered. This delivered volume can vary within a single experiment and across multiple experiments, which makes it difficult to predict exactly how much solution you have delivered. In order to limit variation in the internal diameter of the syringe it is possible to machine materials such as stainless steel. Using precision turning to machine the barrels of the syringes our stainless steel syringes have diameter variations of below 10μm. This results in diameter variations below 0.02% over the entire stroke length. This in turn limits cross sectional area variation to as low as 0.04% giving you precise control over fluid delivery. Our stainless steel syringes are made with grade 316 stainless steel and come with surface passivation, a selection of O-rings so you can best match with your applications, and dual PTFE backing rings to ensure the widest range of chemical compatibility and internal pressures. The entire syringe is easy to disassemble allowing for quick cleaning and for easy replacement of O-rings when needed. Our stainless steel syringes are compatible with the Ossila Syringe Pump, Dual Syringe Pump, and Slot-Die Coater as an easy and affordable upgrade for even higher levels of precision fluid control. Robust Design Our precision syringes have been designed for ease of use with the syringe being easy to disassemble for quick cleaning, and for changing backing rings and O-rings. Our syringes also come with standard NPT threads to provide the highest level of compatibility with hydraulic fittings. In addition, the rear flange has an M6 thread to allow the mounting of pneumatic fittings allowing the syringes to be driven either as a standard displacement syringe or as a pressure driven syringe. With a threaded adapter on our barrel you can replace the plunger with a pressurised air connection to drive solution delivery at a constant pressure.
