Product information This light grey mount board features an elegant, cool-toned shade with subtle turquoise undertones, giving the cardboard a calm and contemporary appearance. The colour shifts slightly depending on the lighting and works especially well with photographs, graphic prints and artworks featuring blue or green tones. The surface has a fine, understated texture that adds depth without drawing attention away from the artwork itself. All our mount boards are made from 1.5 mm thick acid-free quality cardboard and are cut precisely to order to fit your artwork perfectly. The acid-free material makes them suitable for posters, photographs and more valuable artworks alike, helping to protect against discolouration over time. The aperture is cut with a precise 45° bevel. The angled edge reveals the white core of the board, creating an elegant thin white line between the artwork and the mount board. At the same time, the bevel creates a natural distance to the glass, preventing the artwork from resting directly against it. Enter the correct measurements Outer dimensions The outer dimensions should match the size of the glass in your frame. Cutout To ensure a neat overlap, we recommend choosing a cutout approximately 1 cm smaller than the actual width and height of your artwork. This creates an overlap of around 5 mm all the way around, helping to hold the artwork securely in place. Example: If your artwork measures 22 × 25 cm, you should choose a cutout of 21 × 24 cm. Cutout position A centred cutout creates a classic and balanced appearance. You can also choose a top-weighted position, where the distance to the top and sides is equal, creating a slightly wider bottom border. It is also possible to order the mount board without a cutout if the board is intended to function as a background behind the artwork. Payment & invoice We accept payment via VISA, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, American Express, iDeal and PayPal. Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments and are only captured upon dispatch. Your invoice will subsequently be available in your PlakatKunst account. Shipping & returns All mount boards are made to order. Most orders are dispatched within a few working days – often the very next working day. Returns Standard items are covered by a 100-day return policy. Custom-made products – including mount boards made to custom measurements – are however exempt from the right of return.
