Warkworth Autumn

Warkworth Autumn is an original watercolour painted on location one autumn. It was a bright sunny morning. The brightness of the sun brought out the wonderful autumnal colours which were further enhanced as they were reflected in the River Coquet. It was one of those peaceful mornings where you really appreciate being able to sit outside and paint. Rather than focus on Warkworth Castle, I chose to go for broad, lively brush strokes to capture the bright and varied colours of the trees. Unframed
