Hailing from Africa and the Middle East, this beautiful flower is perhaps most famous for its use in ancient Egypt. Most Blue Lily/Lotus sold on the market today is unfortunately mislabeled as the true Egyptian species (N.caerulea), when it is actually a somewhat close relative from southeast Asia (N.nouchali). Rest assured that this product is made with the same Blue Lily that the ancient Egyptians used as a medicine, sacrament, aphrodisiac, visionary plant and more. Noteworthy is its pale blue and white petals compared to the dark purple N.nouchali.
