A large and impressively wide antique pine chest or commode, beautifully proportioned and defined by its monumental simplicity. Dating from the early 19th century, the chest features three generous drawers and retains its original feet and original handles. Exceptionally robust and very clean throughout, with the drawers running smoothly. Finished in a soft off-white with a waxed finish, giving the piece a wonderfully understated and timeless character. Northern Europe, c.1840.
