Men's Mission Short - Radavist Feldspar

The Radavist has always been inspired by the land we recreate on, drawing from geology, flora, and fauna. When John and the team began experimenting with tie-dye fabrics, it was intended to mimic geologic patterns found in rocks across the Southwest. This year is The Radavist's 20th anniversary, so to celebrate, John and the team reached out to collaborate on a limited version of our US-Made Mission Shorts. The Radavist has had a profound impact on modern cycling, and we’re thrilled to have had the chance to develop a unique Mission Short to celebrate. We worked with Megan Dean from Moondust Apparel to dye yardage for the shorts in a color palette found in John’s backyard trails. Inspired by the rocks found along John's favorite in-town singletrack on Atalaya Mountain, these shorts mimic the Precambrian granite's iconic pink and reddish colors of the mountain's rocks and soils, which come from abundant potassium-feldspar crystals mixed with grey quartz and biotite mica. Made in USA from the same durable, bluesign®-approved fabric as our award-winning Mission Shorts. Large rolls of fabric are tie-dyed before being cut into the shape of a short. Each pair is unique, and no two are exactly the same. You could be a rock nerd, Ornot.
