Intermediate Sewing workshop

You know how to sew. You’ve been doing it for a while. A zip doesn’t make you weak at the knees — but you know your garments could fit better, look more refined and be finished more beautifully. In my Intermediate Sewing workshops, we focus on the areas that can make the biggest difference to your work: fitting, construction and selected couture finishing techniques. Bring your questions — and, where appropriate, a garment or toile you are working on — and I’ll help you understand what isn’t working, why, and how to improve it. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of fit, construction and finishing, together with practical solutions and techniques you can apply to future garments. This workshop is suitable for confident sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and have already made garments independently. Places are limited to 6 students to allow for individual guidance. Choose the format that suits you 2.5 Hour Intermediate Sewing workshop A focused session for improving specific skills, solving fitting or construction problems, and learning selected couture techniques. 7 Hour Intermediate Sewing workshop A full-day workshop giving you more time to work in depth on your garment or project, refine fit and construction, and explore couture techniques with more individual guidance throughout the day. 2.5-hour workshops are available mid-week and on selected weekends. 7-hour workshops are offered on selected Saturdays.
