This design came out of work on PC36 Konsol, a project we still have in development, and it is the first machine we have built in that form. 21 litres, a tempered glass side, a handle in the top, and a single slim ring of light at the back rather than a light show. We will be straight about what that means: AMD have stopped releasing new processors for this socket, so this is a machine to upgrade within rather than to build forward from. What you get in exchange is why it costs what it does, because AM4 boards and DDR4 memory are a fraction of the price of the current generation and the performance difference at this level is not something you would feel. It keeps the processor comfortably within its limits Being honest about it: this is the one part of the machine we would change first if it were ours. The Wraith is a small aluminium cooler with a small fan, and a small fan has to spin quickly to move air. It is not that it cools badly, it is that you can hear it working under a sustained load.
