Aug 1 | Felt Painting Workshop with Madeline Brown
Space is limited to 10 people! $15 for Members and $30 for NonMembers. Advanced registration is required and is nonrefundable. 1-3pm, Aug 1. Don’t have any experience? Don’t worry! None is needed! The workshop will be held downstairs in the Museum Classroom. Learn to make your own felt painting and mix colors with wool felt. You’ll be shown how to use felt needles and layer wool fibers onto a felt mat. No experience needed. All materials are provided for the workshop. Artist Bio Madeline Brown is a multidisciplinary artist focusing in wool felting, hand embroidery, beadwork, jewelry making and clothing mending. Branching out from traditional art forms they developed an affinity for hand-stitched embroidery--which shortly evolved into an array of fiber arts. From Taos Pueblo, Santa Ana Pueblo and Inuit, Athabaskan descent, Madeline often draws influence from their Pacific Northwest and Southwestern upbringing. If choosing the member pricing option, please be sure your membership is current. If it is not current, you will be asked to renew before the workshop begins. If you don't renew, your spot may be forfeited.
