2023 Tempranillo, Emilio Moro (Ribera del Duero, Spain)

100% Tempranillo. Twelve months in French and American oak, and the wood sits behind the fruit instead of over it. Dark cherry and plum, dried herb, a graphite edge underneath. Every vine that goes into it was grafted with wood cut from Valderramiro and Resalso, so what is in the glass is a direct copy of the two blocks the family refused to clear, farmed above 750 meters.
