Bianca – Upcycled Wedding Dress

An upcycled 1980s wedding dress and vintage lingerie pieces reimagined in dead-stock silk and antique lace, completely transformed from their original silhouettes into something new, fluid, and contemporary. The structure has been reshaped and softened, blending elements of both bridal wear and intimate vintage lingerie into a single cohesive form. The fit has been reworked to follow the body in a more intuitive, modern way, while layers of draping add movement, depth, and a sculptural flow that shifts with every step. Hand-applied details bring the piece to life: delicate beading, intricate embroidery, floral appliqués, and inserts of lace that merge old and new seamlessly. Each element is carefully placed by hand, preserving fragments of its past while building a completely new identity. What once existed as separate pieces, has been reconstructed into a singular, reimagined piece: romantic yet contemporary, fragile yet intentional. A garment that carries memory within its fabric, transformed through craft into something entirely one of a kind.
