The bowl and the tray, both solid marble, cut and polished by hand in Agra.Ridges inside the bowl give the brush something to work against, so the puck loads quickly and the lather comes up thick. Rinse it under the hot tap first and the stone holds that heat to the last pass. The tray takes everything afterwards: three holes through the centre let the water go, and the razor and brush dry standing up.No razor and no brush here. This is the surface, not the shave.
