This item is manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical Corp CHROMIC ACID 5% 5% w/v Chromic acid is an aqueous solution used for Gomori’s methenamine staining (also known as Grocott-Gomori methenamine stain). The procedure is used for the detection of fungi in tissue sections. The MCC kit (cat # 6668A-KIT-4OZ) contains all the reagents needed for the procedure and consists of: 5% w/v chromic acid (catalog # 4981A) 0.3% w/v solution of gold chloride (catalog # 5967A) 0.04% w/v light green SF stain (catalog # 6455A) 1.5% w/v methenamine (catalog # 6667A) 3.125% w/v silver nitrate (catalog # 8021A) 1% w/v sodium bisulfite (catalog # 826A) 4% w/v sodium borate (catalog # 8270A) 2% w/v sodium thiosulfate (catalog # 872A). All reagents are also available individually and are manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical Corp.
