Ethiopia Uraga Haro

From the highlands of Uraga, this washed Ethiopian coffee brings together the florality and brightness we love from the region with a deeper, almost resinous sweetness. Coffee for this lot comes from small farms surrounding Haro Wachu, where elevations reach beyond 2,200 metres. Ripe cherry is delivered to the local washing station, fully washed and slowly sun-dried on raised beds. In the cup, expect a foundation of honey and brown sugar with a lively citrus acidity. As it opens, fresh herbal and floral aromatics emerge, reminiscent of lemon basil, followed by darker fruit and warm spice. The finish is sweet and lingering, with notes of blackberry, chocolate and aromatic wood. A beautifully layered Ethiopian coffee: bright and fragrant up front, rich and comforting underneath.
