Honey Pear™
The Honey Pear™ is a highly productive, grafted pear tree that produces large, sweet fruit dropping from mid-September through mid-October in central Pennsylvania. As the pears ripen on the tree, they develop outstanding sweetness and provide an excellent food source for both people and wildlife. The original roadside tree, estimated to be over 35 years old, has shown impressive resistance to fire blight despite growing near heavily infected pear trees. Well suited for USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 5-7, Honey Pear™ reaches a mature height of approximately 25 feet and makes an excellent choice for wildlife orchards, hunting properties, and homestead plantings.
