A very lovely antique late Victorian Opal and Diamond carved half hoop ring dating to 1891 with a full hallmark; being made in Birmingham's famous jewellery quarter. Beautifully adorned with a hand carved scrolled gallery supporting the hand cut natural gemstones. The central Australian Crystal Opal has the full range of rainbows colours and glows an ethereal magic! The old hand cut Diamonds to each side sit closely together, maximising the sparkle; each stone a unique creation of the cutters hand and eye... Very special as a choice for birthday or anniversary, bringing a romantic mystique to every day. Stones: natural Crystal Opal and hand cut Diamonds. Metal: 18ct yellow Gold hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office in 1891. Weighs 3.18 grams. Ring Size: O and a half or 7.25 as is but suitable to alter for fit.
