The partnership between two of the world's oldest and most renowned mints resulted in a design that gives equal prominence to these iconic figures, representing the shared values and enduring friendship between the two nations. The reverse depicts Britannia and Liberty in complementary profile portraits. Britannia is distinguished by her Corinthian helmet and trident, symbols long associated with Britain's maritime heritage, while Liberty is adorned with stars and carries a torch, reflecting her historic representation of freedom in American coinage. The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by acclaimed British sculptor Martin Jennings. Struck in fine silver, the 2024 Britannia & Liberty is a remarkable meeting of British and American numismatic traditions.
