MWC 1940/50s Dirty Dozen General Service Military Watch
Brand New and Boxed supplied with 2 Years Manufacturer's Warranty MWC 1940s 50s Dirty Dozen General Service Military Watch Hand Wound Description SKU Code: DD/01/AU/2/HW This recreation of a “Dirty Dozen” type watch is based on the original 1940s–1950s military timepieces. It features a 17-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement with a power reserve of approximately 36 hours, staying true to the traditional mechanics of the era. The watch has a heavy stainless steel satin-finish case made from military-grade 316L stainless steel, a black dial with luminous markings, and a subsidiary seconds dial, faithfully reflecting the style and layout of the originals. It comes fitted with a historically accurate canvas strap, identical in pattern to those used during the 1940s and 1950s, completing the authentic vintage look. The final image shows the original twelve “Dirty Dozen” watches produced for the British forces by Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor, and Vertex. MWC were not a manufacturer at that time, having been founded in 1974, but this model is very much in the spirit of the originals.
