Framed by a titanium bezel with a black ceramic tachymeter insert, and topped with dual curved sapphire crystal with super-clear coating, the black dial displays a distinct texture, made possible by improved charging efficiency of the solar cell, providing an outstanding contrast to the subdials. In addition to the four subdials, laid out vertically for a sporty look, a first for Seiko Astron, the dial includes a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers.
