The vineyard lies above the village of Aubertin in the foothills of the Pyrenees, where steep slopes and mountain influence help produce wines with striking freshness and aromatic precision. Les Jardins de Babylone was founded by Didier Dagueneau, who was drawn to the amphitheatre-like vineyard setting and its resemblance to the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The 2021 Demi-Sec is made from Petit Manseng, a grape especially suited to producing wines that balance natural sweetness with vivid acidity. Its Vin de France classification allows the wine to sit outside stricter appellation boundaries while still expressing the character of its South-West origin.
