"Subtle Florals" Vintage 1930's Ivory & Pink Floral Print Gown UK 8 US 4

This elegant 1930's gown, rendered in the softest shade of ivory rayon satin, set off by a pink coloured scattered repeat floral ditsy print, is just the piece to welcome to your lingerie collection. The elegant V shaped neckline is framed by wide shoulder straps, which gather in pleats along either side of the yoke beneath drawn running stitches. The gathered pleats along each yoke drape across either side of the bust-line accenting the décolletage whilst setting off the rounded central panel along the top of the bodice, which boasts gathered stitches, creating radiating pleats along the bust. The rounded panel joins the fitted waistline, which boasts a pointed seam waist seam detail. Finished with a bias cut along the length of the skirt line and a V shaped backline, this gown skims the silhouette whilst showcasing the iconic design of the era. The repeat floral print has faded in some areas and is less apparent along the bodice. There are impressions to the rayon satin throughout, this is a natural process for the fibre which occurs with time. A few small pulls to the rayon satin along the hemline. These minor details are not apparent when the gown is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
