Spéciale

This smoked lager was brewed with our friends at Les Grands Bois in Saint-Casimir, Quebec. We've loved their brewing style for years, so it's no surprise we ended up brewing something we're really proud of. This beer is all about malt... smoky malt. It's dry and prickly on the palate, with medium bitterness and layered flavours of smoked wood, hazelnut, toast, and chocolate. The aroma is boldly smoky, but the flavour is far more nuanced. After a few sips, the smoke settles into the background and the complexity of the malt really shines. Spéciale is one of our favourite beers we've ever made.
