But our latest one slows down even the heaviest bikes with ease and is therefore predestined for your most powerful e-bikes and gravity machines. Size matters This brake makes every other brake look like a toy. By enlarging the pistons of the master and calipers from 10 & 17 mm (on MT7) to 12 & 19 mm, we achieve unprecedented stability and sensitivity – even under the highest loads. By enlarging the pistons, we have reduced the overall pressure level. This means that less pressure is lost by expanding the hose. The result is a defined pressure point with good modulation. More miles, less worries Extra thick brake pads with 94% more wear volume* and thick 2.5 mm brake rotors with a 2.1 mm wear limit keep you out of the workshop. *GUSTAV disc brakes offer 176 % pad wear volume compared to MT7 with 8.X brake pads and 194% compared to a MT A2.
