Unlike the brand’s other mallet designs, the OZ.1 utilizes a solid-body construction and is carefully tuned to deliver a more traditional sound and feel at impact. Despite its refined shaping, the OZ.1 maintains the exceptional forgiveness and stability that L.A.B. mallets are known for—delivering performance comparable to the highly popular DF3 and MEZZ.1 MAX models. The OZ.1 and OZ.1i share the exact same size and shape. The difference comes down to feel: the standard OZ.1 offers a softer impact sensation similar to the DF3, while the OZ.1i insert is designed for players who prefer a firmer feel and faster ball speeds.
