Liber-Tea Kettle
For the 250th anniversary of American independence, Michael Graves Design and Alessi return to one of the most recognized objects in modern kitchen history, the iconic 9093 Whistling Bird Kettle. The form is unchanged. The same conical body, the same arch handle, the same bird that sings when the water boils. The anniversary lives within the details. The ring of embossed dots around the base is replaced by 13 laser-engraved stars, one for each of the original colonies. The palette comes from General George Washington's uniform: navy blue, cream, and brass. The lid is engraved with "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Below the handle sit the dates 1776–2026. Two whistles are included, one in PVD-coated brass and one in red, so you can finish the kettle in classic brass or set it off with a bird in red. Only 499 numbered pieces have been produced worldwide. Made in Italy. Works on all cooktops, including induction. Once it sells out, this edition will not return.
