Abundance | Sturgeon Full Moon Ceremony

Join us on Thursday, August 27th as we journey with the potent energy of this month’s full ‘Sturgeon’ moon calling in abundance through the power of scent and vibration. The energy of abundance is a state of mind. It’s how you see the world, how you appreciate the present moment, and how you open yourself up to new opportunities. The energetic imprint is beyond what you own and what you have. Abundance calls for patience and resilience, trusting the unfolding of the unknown. The name ‘Sturgeon’ comes from the wisdom of the Algonquin and other Native American tribes who observed that sturgeon were most readily caught during August’s full moon—symbolizing abundance, survival and the rewards of patience. This moon is associated with emotional resilience, depth and maturity. For this upcoming immersive gathering, we are incorporating sound and scent, using the resonance of the honey bees and vitality of plants to coalesce and create a transformative journey reflective of the moon’s intention. Bees are the ultimate manifestation of abundance and have been regarded as sacred messengers between worlds. Some alternative and holistic theories suggest that honeybee colonies emit a background hum around 7 to 8 Hz, which closely mirrors the Earth's natural electromagnetic background frequency known as the Schumann resonance. The dominant plant frequency we will be building into the experience is piñon, a mothering essence, reflecting abundance, nourishment and gratitude. This essence works well on the “pineal” gland (which looks like a pine cone) and is the source from which intuition and alignment come from. Arrive The journey begins with a sweet honey based elixir. Sit and intentionally sip. Settle In Allow the resonant sound of the bees to deeply calm your body. Join us for a 35-45 minute sound immersion. Journey Breathe in the scent, connecting you further inward to allowing for reflection, release, and expansion. We will layer in scent with the sound of the bees and resonant singing bowls.* Come with inquiry and open to allowing for creating abundance within. As a final sensorial token attendees will be gifted a pinon caramel triangle provided by Kakawa Chocolate House located here in Santa Fe, NM. The facilitators Roxana Villa is a pioneer of natural perfume whose Santa Fe studio is a sanctuary of the senses. She began her career as an editorial illustrator and educator in the 80's at Otis Art Institute, eventually migrating to olfactory art. She has presented her visionary synthesis of alchemy, scent & ecology worldwide, including Bastyr University. Meghan Godin is the founder and creative director of Godin Design, a multidisciplinary sensorial design studio creating healing environments, products, and immersive experiences that foster connection, restoration and resonance. Guided by the belief that our surroundings have the power to shape how we feel, heal, and relate to one another, her work bridges hospitality, wellness, and the sensory arts to create spaces that invite presence and deepen the human experience. Felly Montelya is a beekeeper in Northern New Mexico. Her beloved bees create delicious honey she lovingly shares with her community, as well as hand made devotional candles.
