A Kutani matcha bowl with cats in a sunny spot Hand-painted in the celebrated Kutani ware tradition by Atelier Yu, this chawan carries the same cat scene as our best-selling Sunny Spot mug. At 11cm across and 6.7cm deep it has the open, wide-mouthed shape a chawan needs, giving the whisk room to move and the foam room to build. Thick-walled, so it holds the heat while you drink. Equally at home as a serving bowl for a small dessert if matcha isn't your ritual. Each bowl is painted by hand, so colour depth and line weight vary slightly between pieces.
