Highboard, striped maple, 1960s
A unique highboard in a classic 1960s design, featuring a beautiful contrast between the darker body and lighter fronts. Another eye-catching feature is the beveled drawers, which open via recessed handles. The exclusive interior makes this cabinet an absolute rarity and allows for versatile use—for example, as a men’s dresser or filing cabinet. • Left side: 7 flat, pull-out shelves (so-called “English drawers”)—perfect for documents, collections, artwork, jewelry, or delicate textiles—plus 3 staggered drawers • Right side: Generous, sturdy shelves for maximum storage space. The piece is primarily made of veneered particleboard; the drawers, shelf fronts, and legs are made of beech wood. It has been completely sanded and finished with a glossy lacquer. The hardware and keys are the originals.
