(PREODRDER) Rx Strong 2.0: An 8-week strength and performance program built for the functional fitness athlete.
Rx Strong 2.0 is an eight-week strength and performance program built specifically for the CrossFit athlete. It combines progressive strength training, purposeful accessory work, Olympic-lifting development, gymnastics strength, and intelligently controlled conditioning. Get stronger—and make the rest of your fitness feel easier. A lot of functional-fitness athletes assume they need better conditioning whenever they struggle in a workout. Sometimes that's true. But sometimes the real problem is that every squat, clean, deadlift, press, and Rx workout weight represents too large a percentage of their maximum strength. When a workout calls for 135-pound power cleans, that weight can feel very different to an athlete who can has a max of 185-lbs than it does to an athlete who's max is 225-lbs The workout has not changed. The athlete’s strength reserve has. That is the idea behind Rx Strong 2.0. This eight-week program is designed to build the absolute strength, functional muscle, and repetition strength that allows you to move challenging loads more efficiently -without abandoning the conditioning and skills that make you a complete athlete. More than a traditional strength program Traditional strength programs can make you stronger, but they're not always designed around the demands of functional fitness. They may build the major lifts while ignoring: Olympic-lifting positions Gymnastics strength Barbell cycling Strength under fatigue Aerobic capacity Recovery between repeated efforts Rx Strong 2.0 was built differently. This program prioritizes strength while continuing to develop the qualities you need to perform across a broad range of functional-fitness workouts. You'll squat, press, pull, carry, lift, and build muscle. But every part of the program has a performance purpose. What you will develop Greater lower-body strength Progressive squatting and pulling work will build the strength behind heavier cleans, deadlifts, thrusters, wall balls, lunges, and other leg-dominant movements. Stronger pressing and pulling Develop your strict press, push press, bench press, weighted pulling, upper back, shoulders, and triceps to improve overhead performance and gymnastics strength. Functional muscle Purposeful hypertrophy work will strengthen the muscle groups that support better performance, resilience, and body composition. This isn't bodybuilding added randomly at the end of a workout. The accessory work is selected to strengthen the positions and movement patterns functional-fitness athletes rely on. A larger strength reserve As your maximum strength increases, common workout loads represent a smaller percentage of what you're capable of lifting. That can help you move more efficiently, preserve energy, and maintain larger sets when the workout gets difficult. Conditioning that supports your progress You'll continue training your engine throughout the program, but the conditioning is carefully managed so it doesn't unnecessarily interfere with strength development and recovery. The objective isn't to turn every training session into a test. The objective is to get stronger while remaining fit enough to express that strength. How Rx Strong 2.0 improves on the original The original Rx Strong established the foundation. Rx Strong 2.0 takes the concept further with a more deliberate and modern training system. The updated program includes: Clearer progression for the primary lifts Improved fatigue and recovery management More purposeful hypertrophy work Better integration of strength and conditioning PPM-inspired conditioning sessions Defined performance benchmarks Greater emphasis on strength application Updated scaling and substitution guidance A structured training tracker Improved explanations and coaching notes This isn't simply the original program with new workouts. Rx Strong 2.0 is a complete rebuild based on years of additional programming, coaching, and athlete-development experience. Program structure The eight weeks are divided into focused training phases. Weeks 1–3: Build Develop training volume, movement quality, muscle, and foundational strength. Week 4: Recover and assess Reduce fatigue, reinforce movement quality, and prepare for the program’s heavier second phase. Weeks 5–7: Intensify Increase loading, develop higher levels of strength, and apply those gains to functional-fitness movements. Week 8: Perform Retest key movements and measure how your improved strength carries over to performance. Weekly training schedule Rx Strong 2.0 includes five programmed training days each week. Monday: Squat strength Primary squat progression, lower-body assistance work, unilateral strength, and trunk development. Tuesday: Upper-body strength Pressing, weighted pulling, and targeted upper-body hypertrophy. Wednesday: Conditioning and capacity Controlled conditioning designed to maintain and develop your engine without creating unnecessary fatigue. Friday: Pulling strength Deadlift or pulling emphasis, posterior-chain development, and upper-back strength. Saturday: Strength application Olympic lifting, barbell work, gymnastics strength, and functional-fitness performance. Specific movements and daily emphasis may vary throughout the program based on the training phase. What is included Eight complete weeks of programming Five programmed training days per week Progressive squat, press, and pulling work Functional hypertrophy training Olympic-lifting development Gymnastics-strength work PPM-inspired conditioning Strength and performance benchmarks Movement substitutions and scaling guidance Exercise demonstration resources Downloadable training tracker Detailed program instructions and coaching notes Who this program is for Rx Strong 2.0 is designed for functional-fitness athletes who: Need to improve their overall strength Struggle when workouts include moderate or heavy weights Want to add muscle without becoming less athletic Have plateaued from inconsistent or random strength work Want a structured strength phase without abandoning conditioning Need stronger squatting, pressing, and pulling foundations Want their strength gains to carry over to actual workouts You do not need to be a competitive athlete to benefit from the program. You should, however, have basic experience with common barbell and functional-fitness movements. Every workout can be adjusted according to your current ability. Rx Strong 2.0 versus Functional Pump Choose Rx Strong 2.0 when your primary objective is to become stronger and improve how that strength carries over to functional-fitness performance. Choose Functional Pump when you want strength, conditioning, hypertrophy, and aesthetics to receive more equal emphasis. Rx Strong 2.0 includes hypertrophy and conditioning, but they are programmed to support the central goal: building a stronger athlete. What equipment will you need? The program is designed for athletes training in a functional-fitness or CrossFit-style gym. Recommended equipment includes: Barbell and weight plates Squat rack Dumbbells Kettlebells Pull-up bar Bench Plyometric box RowErg, BikeErg, SkiErg, or similar conditioning equipment Some sessions may use additional equipment, but substitutions will be provided when practical. How long will the workouts take? Most sessions should take approximately 60–90 minutes, depending on your warm-up, equipment availability, rest periods, and current ability. The most important work appears first, allowing you to prioritize the primary strength sections when training time is limited. Do I need to stop doing regular classes? Rx Strong 2.0 is designed as a complete training program. Adding full affiliate classes on top of all five programmed days may create too much volume and interfere with recovery. Athletes who continue attending class should reduce or replace overlapping sessions rather than completing both programs in full. This is a preorder product and will be deliverd by the week of 8/10.
