WW2 Canadian Named No.4 Mk.II Light Anti-Gas Respirator Set In Carrier Regiment De La Chaudiere
Rubber material gas mask manufactured by Dominion rubber Canada with a steel cannister to the side. Marked to the front with a white Canadian C-Broad Arrow, and manufacture marked to the opposite side, V.M.C. and marked as size Normal. Also marked to the reverse of the headband center, No.4 Mk.III with a Canadian C-Broad Arrow and dated 1943. The grey steel Mk.II filter cannister with an area of light denting is also C-Broad Arrow marked and dated 1945, and is manufacture stamped several times. The respirator is also with a full tin of No.5 Canadian Ointment, Anti-Gas, and Outfit Anti-Gas Dimming Mk.V tube, the marked rubber cap with cork, and a rare package of papers, Detector, Gas Ground No.1 that is complete and unused, and marked with a Canadian C-Broad Arrow. All are contained canvas carrier, marked to the interior of the closure lid, MS&U Ltd. and dated July 1943 (same as the mask) with a Canadian C-Broad Arrow. Both the interior and exterior of the case along with the carry strap are all with the same stamping as he cannister, "G.P. Elias, 8248E". The carry strap is period applied, hand written with a name and service number, N. RICHARDSON 10285E, which is shown in the book, Regimental Numbers Of The Canadian Army as Regiment De La Chaudiere.
