Contemporary ink inscription on front free endpaper, dated 1917. One page torn at lower corner. 47 x 57 mm. Original green Niger morocco (very slightly rubbed). Spine with gilt art nouveau floral motif with "The Poems of Longfellow" in gilt. Front cover with gilt art nouveau design with mandala shaped borders, corner-pieces, and a central design of drapes and two hanging cords all in gilt. Bondy, 120, calls it an excellent miniature book and of "particular interest". Welsh, 4710.
